Ohio Medical Transport operates 24 hours a day, year round to provide our clients with an array of medical transportation services to meet their needs. As a fully insured and Medicaid/Medicare approved provider, licensed with the Ohio Medical Transportation Board as well as the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, we are able to provide safe, quality services while meeting or exceeding all state regulations.

With a fleet of purpose built wheelchair lift and ramp vans, known as ambulettes, we are able to accommodate patients traveling by wheelchair to doctors offices, appointments, care centers and more. Staffed with a first-aid/CPR trained, professional driver and equipped with an AED at all times, you can rest assured you or your loved one is in good hands.

We also operate a fleet of fully licensed and equipped ambulances at both the basic and advanced life support levels. Staffed with a mix of EMTs, Advanced EMTs and Paramedics, we are able to provide a continuation of care during transport or initiate a pre-hospital response in the case of an emergency based on each patients individual needs.

Advanced Life Support

Advanced Life Support

Ohio Medical Transport offers 24/7 advanced life support (ALS) response and transport services. Our ALS equipped units are manned with a minimum of 1 EMT and 1 Paramedic. Our paramedics are CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified and are encouraged to pursue additional certifications as well such as; PALs, PEPP, AMLS, ITLS & PHTLS to further ensure the highest quality of care and expertise we can offer.

Our ALS units utilize an array of advanced medical equipment to care for our patients. Some of the equipment you will see on-board our units include the 12-Lead capable LifePak-12 cardiac monitor/defibrillator, automated vents such as the ParaPac or AutoVent 2000, CPAP, IV equipment and emergency medications to name just a few.

Every unit is checked daily to ensure equipment is properly stocked, cleaned and operating. All units are equipped with two-way communication between the ambulance and our dispatch center, as well as a GPS unit to ensure that every critical detail is transmitted and our units get to you fast when minutes count.

Whether you need the transport of a critical patient, a transport from one hospital to another, a response to the scene of an emergency, a rendezvous with a medical aircraft, or a transport to a specialized care center or doctors office, we are here to help!

Basic Life Support

Basic Life Support

Ohio Medical Transport offers 24/7 basic life support (BLS) response and transport services. Our BLS equipped units are manned with a minimum of 2 state certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Our EMTs are CPR and basic life support certified and are encouraged to pursue additional certifications and education well to further ensure the highest quality of care and expertise we can offer.

Our BLS units utilize an array of medical equipment to care for our patients. Some of the equipment you will find on-board our units include AEDs, oxygen, CPAP, suctioning equipment, glucometers, pulse oximeters and emergency medications to name just a few.

Every unit is checked daily to ensure equipment is properly stocked, cleaned and operating. All units are equipped with two-way communication between the ambulance and our dispatch center, as well as a GPS unit to ensure that every critical detail is transmitted and our units get to you fast when minutes count.

Our BLS units are perfect for transports to and from doctor’s offices, dialysis centers, special care centers, long distance transports, interfacility transports, nursing homes and emergency response. All of our BLS units are able to be upgraded to the ALS level with the addition of a paramedic when additional care is required.

Wheelchair & Ambulette

Wheelchair & Ambulette

Ohio Medical Transport offers realiable wheelchair and ambulette transportation services 6 days a week to accommodate our clients trips to doctor’s offices, medical appointments, specialty care centers, dialysis centers, nursing homes and more. At Ohio Medical Transport, all of our ambulettes are state certified medical transport vehicles, and meet or exceed all state regulated safety requirements in an effort to deliver the best possible care to our clients.

Our ambulettes are specially designed vans featuring lifts and ramps to accommodate both manual and powered wheelchairs safely. Our drivers are trained and certified in safe moving practices and transportation, in addition to the many safety features of our fleet including; on board AEDs, wheelchair restraints, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers.

Our wheelchair technicians are specially trained, educated and certified in safe moving and transportation techniques as well as safe driving, CPR and first-aid medical care.

Comfortable

Our ambulettes are full size, specially designed vans that have patient safety and comfort in mind. They are cleaned daily and feature many safety features to protect our patient during their transportation.

We utilize a combination of fleet tracking and communication technologies to communicate with, dispatch and track our fleet in order to ensure we are on time when you need us.

Long Distance Transport

Long Distance Transport

Ohio Medical Transport specializes in long distance transports by stretcher via ambulance any where in the state and most locations throughout the country. Whether it be a trip to the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Metro Health System, Wexner OSU Medical Center, other specialized care and medical centers, or just a trip back home, we are hear to help.

We are able to dispatch both ALS and BLS units for these transports depending on the individual needs of the patient, if you are unsure of which level of service you require, feel free to call and speak with one of our dispatchers who can assist you in making this determination.

On long distance transports exceeding multiple hours of drive time or a critical patient, we dispatch an ambulance consisting of at least 3, state certified, crew members to ensure the safest possible transport for our clients, ensuring the care required during the transport is never compromised, and the crew is always well rested and safe to drive, something that sets us apart from our competitors.

No matter where the call, so long as it either originates or terminates in the State of Ohio, we’re here to help.

Ohio Medical Transport is able to provide emergency medical response abilities for virtually any privately held events, or supplement medical services that are already in place. Whether it be a trade show, a fundraiser, a marathon, a rodeo, a rally, or anything and everything in between, we have the drive, equipment and capability to provide professional services.

We are able to offer both advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) units for your event to respond to and treat your guests and patrons in the event of an emergency. Our units are able to stage on scene at your event from beginning to end, and can even offer additional services while we are there, such as taking free blood pressures and assisting with minor first-aid that may not require transport to the hospital.

All of our ambulances are state certified emergency vehicles, stocked with the same equipment you’ll find on any fire department or municipal EMS service ambulance. Our EMTs & Paramedics are state certified practitioners, some holding certifications and training that exceeds the state’s requirement such as ITLS, PALs & AMLS to name a few.

When you’re hosting your event, we want you and your patrons to have peace of mind in regards to their safety in the event of an emergency.
